My room

As it was before, so it is again

This is my room! It's a blast from the past. Maybe it's a little immature, but every woman was once a girl. Plus, this is where I dream, dream, dream... day and night...

The ads are all vintage, from the 70s through the 90s. Except for one FBI's Most Wanted poster there for the alleged Phone Book Killer of 1984 Los Angeles. Hmmm.

A precious place
I sourced a lot of vintage things for the shelves, including this cabinet. Some things were gifted to me as well. Isn't it pretty? Of course, flowers collect up here for a certain someone (if only to step on).

It's hard to tell, but hummingbirds are a theme in here. I have prints against another wall of Carolyn Shores Wright's hummingbirds (1992 and 1995), Homeco wall plaques of hummingbirds (1993), a beaded one hanging in the window from Mexico, a crystal cube with one's image inside on the dresser, and another on the dresser, a plate and stand decor duo. They are also painted on a music box on the shelf with other birds. They are one of my "life motifs," representing joy, resilience, love, and hope as well as powerful, if soft, strength in an unassuming form.
Of course, brass and glass abound, as well as pink everything. Flowers, birds, and femininity adorn every corner.
